Methodological Characteristics of Corpus Technologies in Teaching Foreign Language
Abstract
Corpus technologies are one of the Internet-based technologies, which help to develop students' communicative competence in foreign language interaction. On the basis of the analysis of the methodological literature on the use of corpus technologies in teaching foreign language, didactic and methodological functions such as multilingualism, conceptuality and authenticity of corpus technologies are distinguished. These functions reveal and ground a number of psychological and pedagogical conditions to develop and enhance the methods of teaching students written and oral communication on the basis of the corpus technologies.
