The integration of local wisdom into creative writing instruction in Indonesia encounters significant challenges, primarily the weak correlation between pedagogical practices and students' cultural contexts, alongside fragmented implementation across various educational levels. This study aims to systematically analyze the pedagogical practices involved in integrating local wisdom into creative writing instruction in Indonesia, utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data sources encompass scientific journal articles, conference proceedings, and research reports published between 2021 and 2025. The findings identify four central themes: (1) diverse forms of local wisdom as sources of inspiration for creative writing, including folklore, local traditions, and cultural artifacts; (2) pedagogical models and strategies, encompassing Project-Based Learning, contextual teaching and learning, and the utilization of digital media; (3) the impact on students' writing competencies and cultural identities, demonstrating enhanced motivation, creativity, and cultural awareness; and (4) implementation challenges, comprising resource limitations, teacher competencies, and resistance to change. The conclusion asserts that integrating local wisdom into creative writing instruction is proven effective in improving writing proficiency while simultaneously reinforcing students' cultural identities. The implications of this research highlight the necessity for developing systematic instructional models, strengthening teacher capacity, and integrating policies that support sustainable, local wisdom-based education.
